Mark Lardas has a degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, but he started his career at NASA's Johnson Space Center, where he worked on Space Shuttle structural analysis and navigation. Mark Lardas, an amateur historian and long-time ship modeler, is currently employed in League City, Texas. He's published numerous articles on modeling, as well as nautical, marine, and military history. League City, Texas, is where the author calls home.
