Delightful…switches on a nightlight to bleach out the darkness of the Grimms’ version. Heapy allows the little girl to speak like a real child and Heap gives her the sort of coat with animal ears that wouldn’t look out of place in the local park…A perfect present for a Gramma to give her VLRRH. * The Times *
A delightful twist in the tale… warm illustrations… a delight to share. * The Bookseller - Bookseller's Choice *
Very funny…a feisty little heroine * Blackbird Pie *
