Victims of Violence by Joan Jonker
Joan Jonker set up the charity, Victims of Violence, and went on to raise over two million pounds and to help victims whose voices would not otherwise have been heard. This book presents the story of her fight for justice, of the heartbreak and suffering behind the crime statistics and of her courage and compassion in the face of adversity.
Joan Jonker was born and bred in Liverpool. She founded the charity-run organisation Victims of Violence and she lives in Southport with her son. She has two sons and two grandsons.
