A child prodigy, Yehudi Menuhin made his debut at the age of seven with the San Francisco Symphony. He went on to perform with the greatest orchestras and conductors, and established a successful partnership with jazz violinist Stephane Grappelli and later with Ravi Shankar. Beyond his performing career, Lord Menuhin was also celebrated for his humanitarian work. He recorded prolifically and his life has been the subject of many films.
