Vulcan 607 by Rowland White

Drawing on interviews with the combatants, Falklands residents and British High Command, and with access to contemporary military records, this work takes us to the beating heart of a legendary raid. It is a story of ingenuity, courage and sheer bloody-mindedness.
Rowland White was eleven years old when Argentina invaded the Falkland Islands and reading the papers everyday for news quickly became his daily routine. He has been fascinated by the conflict ever since, and in particular with the Vulcan raid on Stanley airfield. He works in publishing in London.
