John Mabry holds a PhD in World Religions, and has taught The Gospel of Thomas for six years. An interfaith scholar, he does not proselytize, but simply offers The Gospel of Thomas as one of many valid spiritual paths. He currently teaches World Religions at the Chaplaincy Institute for Arts and Interfaith Ministry, and is also director of the Interfaith Spiritual Direction Certificate program at that school. He was the managing editor of Matthew Fox's Creation Spirituality magazine for five years, and also served as editor of Presence: An International Journal of Spiritual Direction.
