Texas and Civil War history and are affiliated with the Texas A&M University
Press consortium. He also writes a weekly column on Texas books and authors
for seven daily newspapers and is founder and chairman of the West Texas
Book and Author Festival in Abilene. He is the author of What Dogs Teach Us
(Willow Creek). He lives and works in Abilene, Texas.
