Writing the Wisdom explores the emotional impact of childhood sexual abuse in an informative and accessible way whilst also giving a rare insight through writing, into the lived experience of survivors.

Penny Johnson is a scholar at Birzeit University in Palestine and a founding member of the Institute of Women's Studies. She is also the editor of Jerusalem Quarterly and the co-editor and contributor to two critically praised collections of essays, Shifting Sands: The Unraveling of the Middle East's Old Order and Finding Palestine, which won the Palestine Book Prize. She was born in the United States and now resides in Ramallah.
