You Can Be As Young As You Think by Tim Drake
We all wish we could stay feeling young forever. You Can Be as Young as You Think tells you how you can achieve it. Ageing really is all in the mind and this book shows you how you can train your ageing brain to think younger and feel younger so you can live a more fulfilling, rewarding, successful and happier life.A book that can make you younger, or at least think younger, made a compelling proposition
Combined with the authors' sense of fun and ability to make the complex straightforward, the impact of ageing on our brains and the affect this has on us all and a company’s decision-making process and culture, made for a hugely insightful presentation and I would defy anyone taking the ‘age of your brain’ test not to recognise the signs in themselves and commit to making some changes in their thinking.
The good news is the Six Wisdoms of Youth help us recognise how our thinking process changes as we age but (unlike our bodies) it can be reversed and we all have the opportunity to take a brain MOT and remember that business is not about endless meetings but taking decisions, making a difference and staying positive.
Ian Cameron - European Outdoor Director, Hi-Tec Sports.
"This, I believe, is a ground-breaking book..... It has an intelligent approach to self-development….The good news is that it is also an entertaining book. It goes to prove that learning can be fun."
Michael Johnson, CEO BPIF, The Print Business
Chris Middleton has been researching social change and segmentation for the past decade. His background is in consumer research, strategic marketing and corporate planning and he spent some time as Board Director of the Sociovision Group – Europe’s leading socio-cultural institute. Most recently Chris, through his own company, Futures Coaching, has been helping individuals and companies to adjust to future challenges.
Tim spent more than a decade in Fast Moving Consumer Goods, ending up as Client Services Director of the global advertising agency BBDO. He then became an entrepreneur, and co-founded a retail business that achieved a turnover of £17 million, and was called by the Venture Capital company 3i “a gem of a company.” After 13 successful years, the recession of 1992 caused a cash flow crisis that meant the company had to be sold for virtually nothing to secure the jobs of the 200 staff still working in it.
Since then, as well as writing, Tim has built up a portfolio of interests. He set up, and Chairs, three Think Tanks for Chief Executives, including the Sports and Leisure Industry, with CEO’s from brands such as Nike, Reebok, and Adidas.
