1776. 300 pages. Brown leather with gilt lettering to spine tile. Contains a monochrome illustrated frontispiece. Pages are heavily marked and stained with moderate tanning throughout. Previous owner's inscription dated 1789 to front free endpaper and frontispiece. Inscription also to rear free endpaper. Infrequent annotation and marginalia in pencil and infrequent folding and creasing. Front hinge is cracked hence text block is loose. Boards are heavily marked and stained and have moderate edge wear, heavy bumping and fraying to corners, heavy wear, crushing, fraying and splits to spine, some small areas of loss.
