1875. Third Edition. 587 pages. No dust jacket. Brown cloth with gilt framing to front and rear and gilt lettering to spine. Contains an illustrated frontispiece in monochrome. Pages remain mostly clear and bright with minimal tanning and foxing throughout, light occasional marking. Heavier tanning to endpapers. Previous owner's inscription to frontispiece. Both hinges are cracked hence text block is loose. Boards are moderately marked and stained and have wear to edges, bumping and fraying to corners, crushing, fraying and large splits to spine.
