1949. First Ed Thus. 622 pages. Grey dust jacket over blue cloth. Pages are moderately tanned with noticeable foxing throughout. Cracks to hinges, exposing netting. Slight crinkling to paper at gutters, however binding remains firm. Pencil inscription to front free endpaper and pastedown. Occasional dog-eared corners. Thumb-marking present throughout. Boards have visible edge wear with corner bumping. Noticeable tanning to spine and edges with some crushing to spine ends. Gilt lettering is darkened. Black marks to all surfaces. Book has a slight forward lean. Clipped jacket. Panels have heavy edge wear with chips, tears and creasing. Large area of loss to all surfaces. Black marks overall.
