1955. 248 pages. No dust jacket. Dark red cloth with silver lettering to spine. Contains a monochrome illustrated frontispiece. Ex-Library book with expected inserts, plates, stamps and inscriptions to pages and boards. Pages remain mostly clear and bright with minimal tanning and foxing throughout, light occasional marking. Light foxing and staining to text block edge. Pencil inscriptions to front pastedown. Both hinges are cracked hence text block is loose. Boards are heavily marked and stained and have moderate edge wear, heavy bumping and fraying to corners, heavy wear, crushing, fraying and splits to spine.
