Books by Alan Grant

John Wagner has been scripting for 2000 AD for more years than he cares to remember. His creations include Judge Dredd, Strontium Dog, Ace Trucking, Al's Baby, Button Man and Mean Machine. Outside of 2000 AD his credits include Star Wars, Lobo, The Punisher and the critically acclaimed A History of Violence. With over 300 2000 AD stories to his name - not to mention over 250 Daily Star Judge Dredd strips - Alan Grant's prolific creative record speaks for itself. Outside the Galaxy's Greatest Comic, Grant is well-known to Batman fans following a lengthy run on various incarnations of the title. More recently he has adapted Robert Louis Stevenson's classic novels Kidnapped and Doctor Jekyll and Mr Hyde in Graphic Novel format with artist Cam Kennedy. His television work includes scripts for the BBC series Ace Lightning and the Carnival of Doom. P. Kevin Walker is the co-creator of Badlands and The Balls Brothers, and has also provided artwork for Dan Dare, Judge Dredd, Future Shocks, Harlem Heroes, Mercy Heights, Rogue Trooper, Time Twisters and Tor Cyan. For the Judge Dredd Megazine, he wrote The Inspectre and has illustrated Judge Anderson, Mean Machine and Wynter. Arthur Ranson has long been one of 2000 AD's most popular artists, making his initial impact when working with Alan Grant on Judge Anderson, a lengthy partnership resulting in the creation of many great stories featuring the much-loved Psi Judge. He teamed up with John Wagner to create the highly acclaimed Button Man series, and later reunited with Alan Grant for Mazeworld. He has also co-created the character of pyrokinetic Mega-City One citizen Juliet November, and illustrated both Judge Dredd and several Future Shocks. Ranson's most recent non-2000 AD work has been for Marvel Comics, on X-Factor and latterly X-Treme X-Men X-Pose. David Roach stormed on to the 2000 AD scene with Book 8 of Nemesis the Warlock, before going on to illustrate Judge Anderson, Judge Dredd, Killer, Past Imperfect, Synammon as well as providing the inks for Killer and Rogue Trooper. Outside of 2000 AD he has worked on various titles including Batman, Star Wars, Star Trek and Aliens. He has also provided hundreds of illustrations for Wizards of The Coast's classic RPG Dungeons & Dragons. One of 2000 AD 's best-loved and most honored artists, Ian Gibson is responsible for the co-creation of The Ballad of Halo Jones (with Alan Moore), the hugely popular Robo-Hunter (with John Wagner and Alan Grant) and created Bella Bagley, an unfortunate character in Judge Dredd's world who fell head-over-heels in love with 'Old Stoney Face' himself! His work outside the Galaxy's Greatest Comic includes Chronicles of Genghis Grimtoad, Star Wars and X-Men Unlimited Xuasus illustrated several strips in the Judge Dredd Megazine during the mid-nineties, including Judge Dredd, Brit-Cit Brute, Judge Anderson and Judge Hershey. Siku, a.k.a Ajibayo Akinsiku, is the creator of the Pan-African Judges, and has illustrated Downlode Tales, Future Shocks, Harlem Heroes, Judge Anderson, Judge Dredd, Judge Hershey, One-Offs, Pulp Sci-Fi, Sinister Dexter, Slaine, Tales of Telguuth and Witchworld. He also contributed to Com. X's Issue Zero. In 2007 Siku's Manga Bible was published by Galilee Trade. Spanish artist Enric Romero is best known for his long-running work on British newspaper comic strips, including Modesty Blaise in the Evening Standard and Axa which ran in The Sun. He also illustrated a Durham Red story - Children of the Night, for the Judge Dredd Megazine. Steve Sampson's unique art style has graced such 2000 AD series as Harmony and Sinister Dexter. Mark Wilkinson is best known for the highly-detailed album cover art that he did for many bands - the most notable being Marillion. In the nineties he also illustrated several covers for the Judge Dredd Megazine. Tony Luke has written for Judge Dredd, Judge Anderson and Middenface McNulty as well as provided the photography for several Nemesis The Warlock photo stories. Charles Gillespie has contributed to both 2000 AD and the Megazine, illustrating Sinister Dexter and Vector 13 for the former, and Armitage, Judge Anderson, Judge Dredd, The Inspectre and Missionary Man for the latter. Mike Collins has illustrated American Gothic which he also co-created, Judge Dredd, Rogue Trooper Sinister Dexter, Slaine and has written and illustrated several Tharg's Future Shocks strips. P.
