Andrew Matthews is a celebrated children's author, who has written over fifty books and has twice been nominated for the Smarties prize. Before becoming an author, Andrew read English and Modern History at university before teaching for over 20 years. Andrew lives in Reading.
Angela Barrett studied at the Royal College of Art, London and was taught by Quentin Blake. She has been awarded the Smarties Prize for Can It Be True? the WH Smith Illustration Award for The Hidden House and was shortlisted for the Kurt Maschler Award and the Kate Greenaway Medal for Beware, Beware! Angela's other titles for Orchard include Stories From the Ballet and the fabulously festive Twelve Days of Christmas.
