Laura MacDonald was born and bred in the Isle of Wight where she still lives with her husband. The Island is a place of great natural beauty and forms the backdrop for many of Laura's books. She has been writing fiction since she was a child, her first book was published in the 1980's and she has been writing full time since 1991 during which time she has produced over forty books for both adults and children. When she isn't writing her hobbies include painting, reading and researching family history.
