Susan Rennie is an editor who has worked on several Scots language reference projects and created print, CD and web materials in Scots for children, including The Electronic Scots School Dictionary (1998) and (co-authored with Matthew Fitt) the Grammar Broonie (2000). James Robertson is the author of several collections of short stories and poems, he has also edited the Scots short story collection A Tongue in Yer Heid (1994) and Selected Poems of Robert Fergusson (2000), and co-edited the Dictionary of Scottish Quotations (1996). His first novel The Fanatic (2000) has been a best seller, and his second is expected to be published in 2003.
