All GCSE French students must demonstrate writing skills, whether in the form of coursework or in the written component of the examinations. This pack offers photocopiable worksheets designed to help students develop and improve their performance in writing French. The worksheets focus on 20 topics from the National Curriculum Areas of Experience, and for each topic there is a pair of double-sided worksheets. The worksheets are differentiated for Foundation tier and Higher tier candidates. The Foundation tier sheets help students to produce work at a level equivalent to Grade C, while the Higher tier sheets show students how to target a Grade A or A*. The worksheets follow a consistent pattern: on side A, students are provided with a model of how to upgrade a piece or writing from the original "version de base" to an improved "version de luxe", following a number of practical tips; on side B, students work on upgrading a second "version de base", and practise key points and skills via "en plus" activity; finally, students move on to the theme which is set for their own independent writing.
