About Jacques Doneux

Jacques Doneux, an Englishman of Belgian descent, was born in London in 1908. He joined the Royal Army Service Corps as a private in 1941 and a year later volunteered for duty with SOE. His intimate knowledge of pre-war Belgium and his mastery of languages led to his selection for the mission described in the book.
