About Matthew Sturgis

Matthew Sturgis is the author of numerous books, including the highly praised Aubrey Beardsley: A Biography and Walter Sickert: A Life, and also a regular reviewer in and contributor to the Times Literary Supplement, the Sunday Telegraph and other papers. Anne Mortimer is recognised as one of the finest contemporary painters of cats. She is a member of the Society of Botanical Artists and of the Royal Miniature Society, from whom she received an honourable mention for the most outstanding miniature of the year. She lives in Dartmouth, Devon.
