Summary

When Hare decided to stop and play in the sand he did not think about what he was going to do or how his game was going to turn out. But Hare makes a Sandbear and soon there is a special relationship forged between the two that is going to be far more important than Hare could ever have imagined.

Sandbear Summary

Sandbear by Shen Roddie

When Hare is walking along the beach one day he sees something that inspires him to build a Sandbear. But he isn't very careful and leaves before he has properly finished the job. Poor Sandbear has to make do now! And off he goes a rather sad character, not finished properly. But before long he has to use his quick wits to help Hare get out of a spot of bother and it is Sandbear's unfailing generosity that inspires Hare to realise that he has to be a bit more careful and thoughtful in his friendships. A book that will give all readers, young and old, plenty to think about and enjoy.
