When a child is two years old and discovering the wonderful world around them, it seems only natural that a puddle is there to splash in, or a tree is to hide behind.

Shen Roddie was born in Singapore and lived in many countries before settling in Oxford. Her love of words led her to become an author via a number of other careers including time spent as a journalist, copywriter and radio presenter. Kady Macdonald Denton was born in Toronto, Canada where she studied Fine Arts. She now teaches art to children in Brandon, Manitoba where she also lives and works as a children's book illustrator.
