Irises are generally regarded among the most beautiful of flowering plants. They come in a variety of colours and sizes, flower nine months of the year and can be kept in many garden situations. This handbook aims to introduce the species and some of the hybrids, with horticultural advice to help gardeners improve their gardens by using these plants in a suitable way.
