About Susan Doran

SUSAN DORAN is Senior Research Fellow at Jesus College, University of Oxford, UK. She is the author of many books and articles on the Tudor period, including Monarchy and Matrimony: The Courtships of Elizabeth I, Elizabeth I in the British Library Historic Lives series and Mary Queen of Scots: An Illustrated Life.

THOMAS S. FREEMAN is the Research Editor for the British Academy John Foxe Project and he is affiliated with the University of Sheffield, UK. He is co-editor (with Sue Doran) of The Myth of Elizabeth and (with Thomas F. Mayer) of Martyrs and Martyrdom in England, c 1400-1700. He is the co-author (with Elizabeth Evenden) of Religion and the Book in Early Modern England: The Making of Foxe's 'Book of Martyrs'.
