It was meant to be the perfect venture. A beautiful guesthouse in a beautiful village with a sprawling forest nearby. A stunning thriller from an award-winning author.

Buried Thunder Summary

Buried Thunder by Tim Bowler

What secrets lay buried in the heart of the forest? When Maya strays into the forest she also walks straight into a nightmare. It's not just the horrific discovery she makes among the trees, it's what's waiting for her at home. Something too terrifying to believe in. She's not even sure she believes it herself. Perhaps she's going mad, only imagining the sounds in the night and the feeling of being stalked. Maybe she didn't see anything in the forest after all? And there's another question: what was she doing there in the first place . . . alone . . . at dusk? All she knows is that the eyes of a fox drew her there. They will do so again.

Buried Thunder Reviews

The edgy, staccato conversations that typify the novel are completely at one with its prevailing mood of menace and impending terror * The Irish Times *
Buried Thunder is a tour de force; a compelling and clever thriller that reels in its readers from the first intriguing sentence and holds them in a vice-like grip to the heart-stopping denouement. Atmospheric, tense and bristling with menace, the brilliant plotting leaves little room for guessing and there's no chance of solving this mystery until the last page has turned. * Lancaster Evening Post *
A dark, psychological thriller with genuine moments of chilling horror and an intriguing mystical element. * Readingzone.com *
An atmospheric mystery thriller with a hint of otherworldliness about it . . . As with all Tim Bowler books, this one comes highly recommended. * TheBookbag.co.uk *
