A particular view of the human being is often assumed in economic models, but seldom acknowledged let alone explicated. Addressing this neglected area of research in economic studies, altogether the contributors touch upon the importance and potential of virtues, the notions of freedom and self-love, the potential of simulation models, the dialectics of love, and questions of methodology in constructing a relational anthropology for contemporary economics. The overall result is a highly informative and constructive dialogue, establishing inter alia a research agenda for future collaborative and multidisciplinary study.","brand":"WoB","offers":[{"title":"GB \/ NEW \/ GARDNERS","offer_id":49741078266129,"sku":"NGR9783030846923","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true},{"title":"GB \/ NEW \/ INGRAM","offer_id":52125399810321,"sku":"NLS9783030846923","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0784\/4072\/6801\/files\/303084692X.jpg?v=1750901973"},{"product_id":"relational-anthropology-for-contemporary-economics-book-jermo-van-nes-9783030846893","title":"Relational Anthropology for Contemporary Economics","description":"This open access book offers a multidisciplinary dialogue on relational anthropology in contemporary economics. By using the so-called Pastoral Epistles (PE) as a test-case, Van Nes demonstrates by means of statistical linguistics that only one out of five of their major lexical and syntactic peculiarities differs significantly from other Pauline writings. Most of the PE’s linguistic peculiarities are shown to differ considerably in the Corpus Paulinum, but modern studies in classics and linguistics suggest that factors other than author variation account equally if not better for this variation. Since all of these explanatory factors are compatible with current authorship hypotheses of the PE, Van Nes suggests to no longer use language as a criterion in debates about their authenticity.","brand":"WoB","offers":[{"title":"GB \/ NEW \/ INGRAM","offer_id":52132367925521,"sku":"NLS9789004358416","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true},{"title":"US \/ NEW \/ INGRAM","offer_id":52692827537681,"sku":"NIN9789004358416","price":0.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0784\/4072\/6801\/files\/9789004358416.jpg?v=1768559802"}],"url":"https:\/\/www.worldofbooks.com\/en-gb\/collections\/author-books-by-jermo-van-nes.oembed","provider":"World of Books ","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
