What is more interesting about the book is the fact that on page 57 and 109, the quote from Columbus and other ship mates make a clear distinction between Negros and Moors, Spanish, etc. Again, to understand this concept of what the writer is speaking about one must understand that the color of your skin does not make you African. It is a well written piece of historical facts and well worth reading over twice as the story of conquests which is regularly forgotten in our age of computer technology.
