Implacable, the latter being taken only a few days before she was scuttled. The book features over 180 line drawings, designed by E. Bowness, A.R.I.N.A., and executed by G.F. Campbell, Assoc. M.R.I.N.A., ranging from elaborate perspective drawings of the complex gear at the fore top and crosstrees to the simplest detail. The folding plates by G.F. Campbell (which measure 560 x 400 mm and 235 x 450 mm) include lines, inboard and outboard profile, deck plans of the hull, standing and running rigging plans, and a complete belaying pin plan. The Second World War saw a reduction in fleet size from 35 to just 9 and another rebuilding programme got under way in 1945. The once-lucrative American trade ceased in 1961 and the Wilson Line began to use the roll-on, roll-off ferries for its Gothenburg service in 1966. In 1983, then entire Ellerman Group was put up for sale. By 1987, the company was in the hands of Trafalgar House and called Cunard-Ellerman. In 1991 P\u0026amp;O purchased the Ellerman Group container business and sold the remaining four ships.
