Graham Philpot was born and raised in Suffolk, England. His career as an illustrator began after he achieved a First Class Honors Degree in graphic design, but it was the birth of his first daughter in 1983 that led him into the world of children's books. The subsequent arrival of more children reinforced his only desire and passion for children's books. As he says, My job is my hobby.'
