Mary Morrissy was born in Dublin in 1957. She won the Hennessey award for short stories in 1984 and her stories have appeared in several magazines, newspapers and anthologies including Best Short Stories 1992 and New Writing 2 (1993). She reviews ficiton for The Irish Times and The Independent on Sunday.
