The Lurid Sea by Tom Cardamone

A steamy bacchanal bending through time and space, replete with the occasional God, mythic creatures, and oh-so-many men. For centuries, the godling Nerites luxuriated in a shifting sexual paradise, hopping from one bathhouse to another--from disco-era Manhattan to Feudal Japan and back to where it all started: ancient Rome. When the dark shadow of his half-brother, the sinister Obsidio, descends, his deadly kiss leaves bodies cooling in steam room corners. Nerites must adopt a new role: as defender of these hidden havens, his eternal orgy becomes a race across history itself.

Tom Cardamone is the author of Green Thumb, a Lambda Literary Award-winning speculative novella, and The Werewolves of Central Park, an erotic fantasy novel, as well as the novella Pacific Rimming. Pumpkin Teeth, his short story collection, was a Lambda Literary Award and Black Quill Award finalist. He edited the compilation Lavender Menace: Stories of Queer Villainy! and the book The Lost Library: Gay Literature Rediscovered. Night Sweats: Stories of Gay Wonder and Sorrow, his 2016 collection, was praised by Lambda Literary Review as a dizzying mix of subtle, understated wonder, unadulterated terror, and intense sexiness, with each tale working its own unique charm on the reader. His short stories have appeared in a variety of anthologies and journals, with some of them being collected on his website, www.pumpkinteeth.net.
