Nightcomers by Susan Price

'Last night I dreamed that I saw him crawling towards me on his hands and knees, though his eyes stared through me, as if he would crawl through me - and I woke in a cold horror that I could not explain and cannot forget... Nine beautifully-written stories to chill your soul and haunt your mind. Memories from the past, stories from the present - ghosts across time and lovers beyond the grave - this is a diverse collection with a story to appeal to every reader.
Every tale shows the quality of the imagination, and the accuracy of the tellingWhat most impresses is the authority of Susan Price's voice: exact, rich or spare when necessary, able to evoke the Past without falsity, and the present without effort. * PHILIP PULLMAN, THE GUARDIAN *
