The Summer King by O R Melling
Seventeen-year-old Laurel returns to her grandparents' home in Ireland, where she encounters "the roly-poly man," a cluricaun who sets Laurel on a quest to free her twin sister, thought to be dead, to live with her lover in the legendary world of Faerie.
O.R. Melling was born in Ireland and grew up in Canada with her seven sisters and two brothers. Her home is Bray, Co. Wicklow, a small town by the sea, but at present she is helping to run a Tibetan Buddhist Centre in the Irish countryside. This work has brought her to Outer Mongolia and across the Gobi Desert.
