Understanding Art W/CD 8e by Fichner-Rathus

Denise and Justin's relationship was intense and passionate-carefree and fun. Denise had to keep reminding herself to be content with what they had and not push for too much, too soon. She didn't want to scare Justin off with the depths of her feelings that were proportionally too strong. Two months into their relationship, Justin told her he was moving back to California and Denise's world fell out from under her. Justin asked Denise and her daughter to join him, but that would be irrational. Justin asked Denise to have faith in their relationship, so she prayed over how to handle the situation. A blanket of peacefulness covered her and Denise took this to mean that it was safe to believe in her relationship with Justin. It was against her nature to feel secure or be optimistic, but Denise chose to believe in Justin's affection for her because the alternative was unbearable. Justin was moving in October and would return at Christmas time for Denise and Julia to join him. When Justin arrived in California, he was disappointed in his living situation and Denise got a break-up call ten days later. She was devastated, but she wasn't sad. She was frantic. Denise was convinced that she and Justin belonged together and had to find a way to make him remember and believe in what they had shared. Will Denise be able to entice her lover back to the path they were on before California?
