Front board, endpapers, and frontispiece are detached but still present. Pages are lightly tanned with some foxing throughout. Heavier to text block edges. Pronounced foxing to first few pages. Plates are moderately tanned with some foxing. Noticeable cracking to rear hinge, causing board to be loose. Binding throughout remains firm. Small black ink marks to fore edge. Text is unaffected. Small tears to a few pages, with thumb-marking throughout. Boards have heavy rubbing and visible edge wear. Moderate bumping to corners and heavy crushing to spine ends with spine coming away from binding. Leather peeling to all surfaces, with small area of loss to spine ends. Scuffing to both boards. Gilt lettering is darkened.
