Reincarnation/Reinvention is a term used to describe the process of changing one's Those are the finest adjectives to describe Connie. She's worked as a janitor, waiter, lawn mower, and house cleaner, as well as clerk, secretary, teacher, bookstore, and (eventually) novelist. The last job is the best because she considers it a labor of love, and hence no work at all. Connie has spent her entire life in Oklahoma, with only a few vacations to other states.

She and her husband have been married for longer than she would like to admit, and they have one son together. Connie earned an MA in Film Production and Animation from the University of Oklahoma and worked as a teacher for a few years before joining Borders as a manager. She fully meant to pursue a desk job when she left the organization in 2007. She was able to secure employment.
