Lyn was born in Liverpool in September 1944. Her father Joseph was killed on D-Day in 1944 when Lyn was just nine months old. When Lyn was three her mother Monica married Frank Moore, who became 'Dad' to the little girl. Lyn was brought up in Liverpool and became a secretary before marrying policeman Robert Andrews. In 1970 Lyn gave birth to triplets - two sons and a daughter - who kept her busy for the next few years. Once they'd gone to school Lyn began writing, and her first novel was quickly accepted for publication. She has since written a further thirty-five novels. Lyn lived for eleven years in Ireland and is now resident on the Isle of Man, but spends many weeks of the year back on Merseyside, seeing her children and four grandchildren.
