Designing and Reporting Experiments in Psychology by Peter Harris
There has been a huge increase in the number of students studying psychology in schools and at degree level. Virtually all degree and A level students are required to write practical reports for their psychology courses. The second edition of this popular text offers expanded advice and updated guidelines to students on how to go about doing this. It is intended to be useful to students at all levels. It provides a basic introduction to designing and writing reports of experimental and other studies in psychology and is thus useful for beginners. At the same time, it covers issues of design and reporting of use to students working on projects in the final year of degree courses. It is like a thesaurus or dictionary - in frequent use as the need arises. The first edition was widely adopted as a core course text.
"This book is very well written..I think that the new, more advanced material will increase its usefulness to students at a later level in their undergraduate studies...In fact, it is brimming with good advice." - David Clark-Carter, Staffordshire University "It is friendly, accessible and a text which students can turn to when they are in trouble late at night...students should find this text a trusty and reliable friend which will stand by them as they labour through their reports." - Hugh Coolican, Coventry University
