In 2004, he was nominated for a Pushcart Prize. In 2008, he was in second place for the Neil Postman Prize for Metaphor from Rattle. In 2009, his chapbook, GRADUATING FROM ETERNITY, was named First Runner-Up for Rain Mountain Press's Ronald Wardall Award. He lives in Chicago and works as a bartender someplace on the moon's dark beaches.
