Elvis Has Left the Building by Tania Kindersley
Iris has been with Fred for nine years. When he tells her it's over, she's incapacitated by shock. Slowly, with the help of her friends, life goes on.
A good read. . It's in Edgar Dime, an amusing and convincing artist of Kindersley's imagination, that true brilliance lies - Kate Figes, IndependentAn absorbing read because of the sheer quality of her writing, which is rhythmical, precise and brimming with witty, arresting observations, especially on Modern Art. Recommended - Mail on SundayDeftly drawn and very beautiful - Belgravia
Tania Kindersley was born and grew up in the Lambourn Valley near Newbury, the daughter of the Queen Mother's racehorse trainer and a member of the Guinness family. She wrote her first novel while at Oxford and followed it up with a second frothy social satire shortly after failing to get into drama school. She changed direction with her fourth book, Goodby, Johnny Thunders. Tania Kindersley lives in Scotland and is a freelance journalist.
