Girl Power It's a popular marketing message that shows up on pink T-shirts across the nation. But sparkly words are not enough to get girls to realize their innate value and reach for their true potential. In Empower Our Girls, educators Lynmara Col n and Adam Welcome collaborate with a strong cast of contributors to shine a light on simple, meaningful changes that need to take place in schools and society at large to help girls achieve more.

Adam has worked as an elementary school teacher, an elementary principal, and the Director of Innovation for a 35,000-student district, and he relishes pushing the boundaries to do what's best for kids! Adam also advises and works with a number of educational firms in order to help them better their product for the benefit of others! Adam has preached the Team Child message for many years and makes it clear that children come first. He is also the author of Run Like a Pirate and co-founder of Kids Deserve It alongside Todd Nesloney. Stacy, Adam's wonderful wife, and their two small children, Greta and Tilden, keep life at home fascinating and energetic. Adam is a runner who has completed 22 marathons.
