The introduction of "Common Worship" reintroduced the Anglican Church to its saints - those men and women who lived faithful Christian lives, often in great difficulty, who by their example excite us to holiness too. Lacking any such liturgical resource, the Church of Ireland, the Episcopal Church of Scotland and the Church of Wales, have drawn up authorised lists of saints days for which full provision is now made the new edition of this essential liturgical resource "Exciting Holiness" remains the only volume of its kind, providing prayers and Scripture readings for each day of the calendar of four national church communities.
Compiled by Brother Tristram ssf, a member of the Liturgical Commission of the Church of England and editor of numerous liturgical texts including "The Word of the Lord" series, additional texts have been provided by the appropriate liturgical authorities of the Churches of Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
