Fluffy Humpy Poopy Puppy by Charles S Anderson
From Toto to Lassie to Benji and beyond, the dog has thrived in the soil of modern-age media and pop culture. What is it about dogs anyway? "Fluffy Humpy Poopy Puppy" is a loving tribute to man's oldest and yes, smelliest, friends. Containing over 200 images from the print and advertising archives of the Charles S. Anderson Design Company in combination with a hilarious text by the legendary Michael J. Nelson, this book is an amazingly rich and weird testament to the appeal of kitsch and man's love of the canine companion.
Michael J. Nelson is an actor, writer, director, and musician who served as head writer for ten seasons, and on-air host for five seasons, of the television series Mystery Science Theater 3000. He was also the coauthor of The Mystery Science Theater 3000 Amazing Colossal Episode Guide. Currently, he writes a regular column in Home Theater Magazine and appears as a regular movie commentator on NPR's "All Things Considered." Nelson lives in Minneapolis with his wife and their two children. The Charles S.Anderson Design Company is ranked by Graphis Magazine as one of the world's ten most influential design firms. Their clients include Ralph Lauren, Warner Brothers, Coca-Cola, Levi's and Nike.
