Barrie Rickards is Emeritus Professor of Paleontology and Biostratigraphy at the University of Cambridge. Barrie is one of the best-known and most successful pike anglers in Britain. He is a Founding Fellow of the Pike Angling Club, was past President of the Pike Society and the Lure Angler's Society. He has published over 700 magazine articles; this is his twenty-sixth fishing book. Malcolm Bannister started fishing for pike in 1976. He was a founder member of the Pike Angler's Club and Membership Secretary of the Lure Angler's Society. Malcolm has written many articles and he has co-authored with Barrie Rickards, The Ten Greatest Pike Anglers [Boydell Press 1991] which is a definitive history of pike fishing up to early 1950s.
