British author, artist and poet, Edward Lear (1812 - 1888), is commonly known for his literary nonsense. Lear's other works include The Owl and the Pussycat and A Book of Nonsense. Sam studied illustration at university in Bristol and specialised in children's book Illustration. Sam's first book for Imagine That, The Silent Owl, was a finalist in The People's Book Prize 2013. Sam also illustrates for the toy and greetings cards industry.
