Luck of the Iris by Nancy Warren
Prettiest garden contestHow delightful.
How deadlyI thought judging the Willow Waters garden contest would be fun. A nice way to get to know a few more of my neighbors in this beautiful Cotswold village. I'd get to see how the best gardens grew, maybe nab a few tips for my own garden. I did not expect the competition to be to the death. Literally. I'm Peony Bellefleur and I own Bewitching Blooms. I chose to be a florist for all the positive reasons you can imagine: people love flowers; they speak a language we all understand. Fresh blooms perk up an invalid, add celebration to a wedding, and welcome new babies (especially when I've added a bit of witch's magic to my bouquets). I agreed to judge the garden competition for the same reasons. Joy and happiness. Well, that was a mistake. Between missing persons, interfering gnomes, and a full moon celebration that goes wrong, it's been a busy time. Come join me and my unusual friends in my latest adventure. Luck of the Iris is book 4 in the>Village Flower Shop>Cozy Mystery series. Each book can be read alone, though it's better to read them in order. There's no violence, gore, or sex in these novels, just good clean murderous fun with some magically quirky characters. A modern-day Agatha Christie. This mystery was as smooth as a Swiss watch and as cozy as a caf au lait with a chocolate croissant. *****

Nancy Warren has always loved to read books by funny, daring women. Bonus if the books are also about funny, daring women. Her influences are: Jane Austen, Susan Elizabeth Phillips, Jenny Crusie, Susan Isaacs and Jennifer Weiner to name a few. Naturally, when she began writing, she chose romantic comedy featuring -- you guessed it - funny, daring women and the men who eventually win them. She believes in happy endings, the antidepressant effects of good chocolate and that if you want to enjoy the view from the top, you have to hike up the mountain. She has two amazing kids and the unconditional love of her Border Collie, Max. Nancy's a USA today bestselling author of more than 60 novels. When she's not writing, she's hiking, skiing, traveling or sipping wine. She's appeared on the front page of the New York Times (when her book, Speed Dating launched Harlequin's NASCAR series), has been a clue in a crossword puzzle (National Post, Canada) and she's been a double finalist for the RITA award, won a Romantic Times award and often shares her love of writing in her popular workshops. In 2013 The Christmas Grandma Ran Away from Home was a Kindle Book Review Indie Award finalist. Her novel, Blueprint for a Kiss, Take a Chance, book 3 is a finalist in the short contemporary category of the RITA awards for 2015.
