Stephen Francis is an award-winning writer and a radio and TV personality. In addition to being the creator of South Africa's most popular cartoon strip, Madam & Eve, he has also written more than 28 episodes of the Madam & Eve TV series. He is the author of Desperate Housemaids, Gin and Tonic for the Soul, and The Maidtrix.

Rico is Rico Schacherl, a popular South African cartoonist and illustrator whose projects include corporate communication, advertising, animation, character creation, and children's television. The two previously collaborated on Strike While the Iron Is Hot.
