Oscar and Lucinda by Laura Jones
A screenplay adapted from the novel of the same name by Peter Carey, which won the 1988 Booker Prize. Set in Victorian England and Australia but told with a contemporary perspective, it depicts the fatal and unrequited love shared by two remarkable misfits.
