'Wit doesn't come faster, sharper - or as vicious - as in the world of politicsThere are many collections of such humour but Steven Gauge seems to have done his homework better than most.' The Diplomat 'full of wickedly funny quotes on and around the murky world of politics. Whether spoken by presidents, prime ministers, back benchers or humble voters, they remind us that none is so great he cannot be humbled by an apposite riposte.' The Good Book Guide Included in Christmas Book Recommendations for 2011 The Daily Mail
Steven Gauge was introduced to rugby at school, but failed to break out of the 4th XV. He returned to the game aged 35, writing about the experience in My Life as a Hooker, which was shortlisted for the British Sports Book Awards. He still plays occasionally for Warlingham Rugby Club, in Surrey, when they are short of a front row.
