Provence - Michelin Green Guide by Michelin

The updated Green Guide Provence reveals the treasures of this southeastern corner of France. Explore Arles' many Roman monuments, go horseback riding in the Camargue or hike the limestone hills of the Alpilles. Savor a fish dinner in Marseille, sample the wines of Orange, or take a drive through Luberon's picture-perfect villages. With Michelin's celebrated star-rating system for top attractions, walking and driving tours, respected maps, suggested activities and recommendations for hotels and restaurants, you'll be able to craft a memorable trip. Looking for more treasures in Provence, check out the MICHELIN Guide France to locate the best restaurants and hotels in Provence or explore the region by car using Michelin's Provence-Alps-French Riviera Map no. 527.Michelin has been publishing travel guides and maps for over a century, with the goal to enhance your overall travel experience.
In 1889 two brothers, André and Edouard Michelin, took over management of a tyre factory in France. This was the start of a great odyssey to develop human transport solutions, while valuing safety, efficiency and the pleasures of driving on the road. In 1908, André opened the Travel Information Bureau in Paris to help travellers plan their itineraries and then in 1910 the first Michelin road map was published. Today, Michelin has one of the best mapping systems in the world and offers atlases, maps and travel guides for many countries. The iconic Michelin Man, called Bibendum, is one of the most recognised logos of all time – André and Edouard’s vision of how a pile of tyres would look if they made a man.
